Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated 28 July 2026
Cresus Dice: Ancient Roll keeps everything on your device. There is no account, no sign-up and no server that stores anything about you. We do not collect, sell or share personal data, because we never receive any in the first place.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you create in the app is written to storage that belongs to the app on your own device, and it stays there:
- your casts — the questions you bind, the throws, the verdicts, and what you later record as having actually happened;
- the Ancient Roll, your journal of those casts, and the statistics computed from it;
- your oracle readings and the notes you keep on them;
- coins you strike at the Mint, including any coin struck from your own photograph;
- your name, sigil and covenant — whatever you typed and chose during initiation;
- your settings, almanac observances, laurels and museum progress.
None of this is transmitted anywhere. It is not backed up to us, it is not synced between your devices by us, and we have no way to read it. If your device's own system backup (for example iCloud Backup) is enabled, the app's data may be included in that backup — that is a matter between you, your device and your backup provider, and it never passes through us.
Photographs
The Mint can strike a coin bearing a photograph. If — and only if — you choose to do that, the app asks your device for permission to use the camera or your photo library, and you may refuse; refusing costs you only that one feature.
The image you pick is scaled down on your device before it is used, and the result is saved into the app's own storage alongside the rest of your data. Photographs are never uploaded. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, they are not analysed for faces or content, and the app requests no ongoing access to your library.
When you open the Privacy screen
The Privacy screen displays this page inside the app. Loading a page is an ordinary web request, so — exactly as with any website — our hosting provider and the CDN in front of it record standard server logs: IP address, User-Agent, the time, and the page requested. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to build a profile, we do not link them to anything you do inside the app (nothing you do inside the app ever reaches us), and we do not sell or share them.
What the app does not do
- No analytics. No SDK measures your sessions, taps or screens.
- No advertising and no trackers. No ad network, no advertising identifier, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics or attribution kits. The app does not ask for permission to track you, because it does not.
- No accounts. No email, no password, no social sign-in.
- No purchases. Nothing is sold in the app.
- No wagering. Nothing is staked, won or lost; there is no currency, no prize and no opponent.
- No contacts, location, microphone, health or calendar access. The app never asks.
Children
The app is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal data from anyone, children included. Since nothing is collected, there is nothing about a child to disclose, delete or refuse to sell.
Deleting your data
You are in charge of all of it, and neither route requires asking us:
- In the app, open the Workshop and choose Begin again → Erase everything. This wipes every cast, coin, reading, your name and your covenant, and returns the app to its first frame. It cannot be undone.
- Delete the app. Removing it removes everything it ever recorded on your device.
Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing left with us afterwards. If you would like us to confirm that in writing, or you have a request under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA — access, deletion, correction, portability, or objecting to processing — write to us and we will answer; in most cases the honest answer is that we hold nothing about you to act on.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this address and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
Who we are, and how to reach us
Cresus Dice: Ancient Roll is an independent app. Questions about privacy, requests about your data, or a note that something here is wrong — all go to one address, and a person reads it:
We aim to answer within 30 days, and usually far sooner.
